CHILE - BOLIVIA
3 Days 2 Nights Program
From: San Pedro de Atacama
Duration: 3d2n (d1:07:30 am to d3:14:00 pm)
DAY 1:
07:30 am pick up from Hotel/Hostel and transfer to imigration office located at Hito Cajones (border between Chile & Bolivia) 10:00 am after inmigrations into Bolivia we depart towards Laguna Colorada visiting: Laguna Blanca(white lagoon), Laguna Verde (green lagoon), Volcan Llicancabur viewer, desierto de Dali (dali desert), hot springs of Polques, geysers Sol de Mañana and Laguna Colorada (red lagoon). After the visit we head towards Huallajara where we will provide dinner and basic/shared lodge accomodations for the evening.
DAY 2:
08:00 am after breakfast we depart towards the town of Atulcha crossing the sud lipez deserts we visit: Arbol de Piedra (tree stone rock formation), Desierto de Siloli (7 colored mountain), altiplanic lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda & Honda (lagoons populated by flamingos), Volcan Ollague viewer (active volcanoe between Bolivia and Chile) and Salar de Chiguana (passthrough). After the visit we depart towards the south region of the salt desert to the town of Chuvica/Atulcha where you will receive basic/shared accomodations at salt lodge.
DAY 3:
05:00 am SUNRISE PROGRAM after breakfast we enter the Largest salt desert in the world and head towards Isla Incahuasi (cati 5to6 meters tall, hiking trail and viewer) where we will view an amazing sunrise over the salt flats of Uyui. After the visit we continue towards the town of Uyuni making stops to take pictures and visits to: salt hotel Playa Blanca (1st salt hotel within the salt flats), DAKAR monument, salt mounds, town of Colchani (local shops where you can purchase souveniers made out of salt as well as to visit the local salt refinery) and train graveyard (old rustic trains and locomotives from the late 1800´s).
14:00 pm approximate arrival to the town of Uyuni.
